How we use your information

1. What information do we use?

When you contact us, we receive the information you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, number of residents or groups, and your message. If you use the chat, we also process the conversation. Please provide only what is needed for your enquiry; do not include residents’ names or medical information.

If you create a website account, Wix processes your registration and login information. If you choose to sign up through Google or Facebook, the profile information you authorise, such as your name and email address, may be shared. These providers also process information under their own privacy policies.

When you visit the website, Wix processes technical information, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and session data, to operate and secure the website and understand how it is used.

2. Why do we use it, and on what legal basis?
We use your information to answer questions, prepare an introductory meeting or workshop, and make arrangements with you. If you personally request an offer or enter into a contract with us, the legal basis is taking steps towards or performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general enquiries and contact with employees of care organisations, we rely on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and maintaining business relationships (point (f)).

To operate and secure the website and prevent misuse, we rely on our legitimate interest in a reliable website (point (f)). Processing required by law is based on a legal obligation (point (c)). Where consent is required, we ask for it beforehand (point (a)). You can withdraw that consent. Sending an enquiry does not, by itself, subscribe you to a newsletter.

3. Who receives your information?
We use Wix for the website, forms, chat and website accounts. Email and technical service providers may also process information to handle your enquiry. Information is shared only for the relevant purpose or where required by law.

Wix and its service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in Israel and the United States. Wix describes the safeguards in its Data Processing Agreement and list of sub-processors, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses. You can request information or a copy of the applicable safeguards via contact@elducate.com.

4. How long is information kept?
Enquiries and chat messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your question, follow-up arrangements and any workshop. The purpose of the enquiry, ongoing contact, legal obligations and any disputes determine this period. Account information remains necessary while the account is in use. Information still needed afterwards for a specific legal obligation or dispute is kept only for that purpose.

5. Cookies and technical information
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes including security, sessions, login and website functionality. Their duration varies: some expire at the end of a session, while others remain for longer. You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser. This may affect how some features work.

The Google Analytics and Meta Pixel integrations are not currently activated. Where cookies require consent, you must be able to choose beforehand. Information about Wix cookies is available in the Wix Help Centre under “Cookies and Your Wix Site”.

6. Your rights and how to contact us
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your information. Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you can also request restriction or portability of your information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Email your request to contact@elducate.com. We normally respond within one month. If an extension is necessary, we will explain the reason within that month. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity, but we do not routinely request a full copy of your identity document. You can also complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.

7. Your choice and changes to this policy
Providing information through the website is voluntary. Without sufficient contact details or information about your question, we may be unable to respond to your enquiry. This policy is updated when the website or our data processing changes. The date above shows when the text was last updated.
